Cancer Support
MCH Radiology cancer support mission is to provide comfort, dignity, and hope to patient facing cancer and to empower young women in out community through compassionate support.
With the support of the Morris County Hospital Foundation, we provide comfort, dignity, and encouragement to women facing a cancer diagnosis. Each woman receives a thoughtful gift along with information about wigs, financial grants, and local resources—small but meaningful reminders that she is not alone.
Breast cancer patients undergoing mastectomies and lumpectomies at MCH are offered a Pink Box—a carefully assembled gift designed to support women during their surgical journey. Each box includes practical recovery items such as a drain-holding camisole, shower lanyards, seatbelt cushion, and mastectomy care tools, along with breast cancer awareness items. Pink Boxes are made possible by the generous support of the Hospital Auxiliary and the Mammography Department, offering both comfort and hope during an overwhelming time.
We are also proud to partner with The Cancer Research Foundation to provide patient bags as part of our lung cancer screening program for those diagnosed with lung cancer. These bags are designed to offer encouragement, resources, and reassurance at a moment when patients may feel frightened and uncertain- reminding them they are supported from the very beginning of their journey.
Beyond cancer care, we are excited to partner with our local school to expand our mission to empower young women by providing makeup and hygiene products to those in need. We believe confidence matters, self-worth matters, and every young woman deserves to feel seen and supported.
Through every project, our goal remains the same: to surround local women in need with compassion, strength, and a community that truly cares.
Our Radiology Services
CT Scan
(Computed Tomography)
Computed Tomography is a sophisticated form of x-ray imaging that provides pictures of the body in a series of slices. A CT scan shows clear images of bone, internal organs, muscles and blood vessels which allows doctors to distinguish between normal, diseased, or injured tissue.
MRI
MRI provides excellent images without radiation exposure by using a super conductive electromagnet, radio waves and sophisticated computer software to generate and enhance images. The result is an unprecedented view of internal organs, body structure and systems which provide detailed images needed to make an accurate diagnosis.
Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine comprises diagnostic examinations that result in images of body anatomy and function. The images are developed based on the detection of energy emitted from a radioactive substance given to the patient, either intravenously or by mouth. Generally, radiation to the patient is similar to that resulting from standard x-ray examinations.
We offer online sharing of your medical images using Nuance Powershare. This service allows us to share images with your provider in a secure and convenient way!
All imaging will be sent to the physicians of Manhattan Radiology to be read and reported. Your ordering provider will have your report within 24 to 48 hours. Your provider should contact you with your results.
All services require a written order from a physician in good standing and licensed to practice medicine in the State of Kansas.
Manhattan Radiology Staff
All imaging services offered by Morris County Hospital Radiology are read by the board-certified radiologists of Manhattan Radiology.
