Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians, EMS is ready to handle any medical or trauma emergency.

MCEMS has 16 First Responder staff located throughout the county to provide immediate first aid to emergencies occurring some
distance from the station. Areas covered by first responders include Alta Vista, Dwight, White City, and Council Grove.
Additionally EMS provides First Aid and CPR training to area Fire Departments and Law Enforcement. EMS has equipped 6 area Fire
Departments with Automated External Defibrillators to provide CPR and defibrillation to cardiac arrest victims in a more timely
manner.These departments include Alta Vista, Dwight, White City, Delavan, Wilsey, and Dunlap.

your own. Ourdepartment provides over 80 hours of continuing education every year to include emergency driver training,
Advanced Cardiac Life Support,12- Lead Electrocardiogram training, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Hazardous Material
training, CPR, Advance Airway Management,Advance Medical and Trauma Emergency training.
